PennWest California junior Darrek Harshberger has been appointed to the Board of Governors of Pennsylvania's State System of Higher Education. The board unanimously voted to approve the appointment in December.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students who achieve high academic standards will be identified for placement on the Dean's List in accordance with the following criteria: The student must earn a minimum semester GPA of 3.40. The student must earn a minimum of 12 graded credits during the semester, not including credits by proficiency examinations, incomplete grades, temporary grades (e.g., Not Reported), or satisfactory/unsatisfactory grades

The Theatre Department of Pennsylvania Western University California will perform a Tony Award-winning play to begin the 2022-23 season. PennWest California Theatre will perform "God of Carnage," written by Yasmina Reza, at 7 p.m. Oct. 13-15 and 2 p.m. Oct. 15 in the Blaney Blackbox Theatre at Steele Hall.
